Theme: Rice Around the World – Exploring culture, creativity, and hands-on cooking
Description:
Kids explore global rice dishes while learning about culture, creativity, and cooking. Through shaping, rolling, and assembling rice, they build fine motor skills, confidence, and pride in their creations.
Camp Highlights:
Cultural Exploration: Illustrated “Rice Around the World” sheets with dish origins, fun facts, and rice-themed drawings.
Hands-On Creations:

Onigiri – hand-shaped and decorated

Sticky Rice Siu Mai – hand-formed and steamed

Rice ball creations – freestyle designs

Spam Musubi – assembled and wrapped
Skills Developed:
Cultural appreciation, hand coordination, sensory exploration, and food creativity.
Take-Home Treasures: Their own global rice creations and a hands-on understanding of world food cultures.
